It is designed to help members become more informed and organized before they speak with a licensed attorney, legal-aid provider, court clerk, public agency, or other authorized source of help.

A simple example

Organization tools are not customized legal forms.

A member may use a general timeline worksheet to record events, a document inventory to list papers, or a question worksheet before contacting an attorney. Citizens Law Library does not use those materials to tell the member what legal action to take, choose a court form, draft a filing, or assess the strength of a case.
